Dysart

79.Visit & photograph Dysart harbour ...
COMPLETED

Last Wednesday, the other half and myself took the short bus journey to nearby Dysart..a small harbour village which is now very much a suburb of Kirkcaldy (Fife,Scotland). This little place is steeped in history and was once buzzing with thriving industries of exporting coal, textiles and salt. These days however all these trades have gone leaving a picturesque, sleepy wee place with only a sprinkling of tiny sail boats bobbing in the harbour.

We enjoyed a really sunny afternoon and stopped for a light lunch at the cafe in the renovated Harbourmaster's House which is now a visitor centre.
